We completely understand that life can get hectic, and sometimes scheduling changes are unavoidable but we ask that you please;
• Ensure you can attend a course before registering and submitting any payments.
• Ensure you meet all requirements before arriving at a course.
• Ensure you have all the required equipment, when applicable, before arriving at a course.
We believe this policy is fair to you, other students, and to us.
Contract of Services
When a customer, hereafter referred to as the “Student”, has registered for and paid to attend a specific course it is considered to be a contract between the student and Utah Firearm and Security Training, LLC or the affiliate company and/or instructor, hereafter referred to as "we" or “Instructor”.
Within the policies stated herein, the instructor agrees to provide the student with the training that was contracted for but does not guarantee the training on the dates scheduled. While students may be required to pay a deposit for courses, we never intend to charge for a service that is not received.
If at any time there is evidence that an individual provided false information to register for any course, committed fraud or any other dishonesty will result in an immediate cancellation by the instructor. All cases of fraud will be reported to law enforcement.
We WILL NOT provide training to any individual who is defined as a restricted person under U.C.A. 76-10-503, 18 U.S.C. 922 and 27 CFR 478.32 who;
• Is a convicted felon that has not been annulled or pardoned
• Is currently under indictment in any court for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year
• Is a fugitive from justice
• Is an illegal alien
• Is under a court order restraining them from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner
• Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or have been committed to any mental institution
• Has been discharged from the military under dishonorable conditions
• Has renounced their United States citizenship
• Has been convicted of domestic violence
• Uses or is addicted to any unlawful controlled substances
• Are under the influence of any substances that may hinder or impede their actions in handling a firearm safely
We CANNOT provide any assistance in training foreign persons due to The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Safety is our top priority, especially while handling firearms. All policies and procedures exist for everyone's safety. Compliance with all policies and procedures is mandatory and non-negotiable.
We have a NO AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM policy for all courses. Students are not permitted to have any type of weapon or firearm in the classroom unless specified and directed in the course description. If firearms are authorized in the classroom for the course, students are required to bring the firearm unloaded, in a case, holster or another secured manner with the action open. ALL firearms must be checked and cleared of all ammunition by an instructor before the student enters the classroom. Instructors may use dummy ammunition for training in loading, unloading, malfunction and clearing techniques, etc.
During participation students may be exposed to outside vendors or bystanders at classroom locations, firing ranges, training facilities, retail stores, etc. While we continually monitor the environment for compliance, we cannot control or be held accountable for the actions, opinions, statements, etc. of outside vendors, bystanders, or other organizations.
Removal from Class
Student conduct that causes material or substantial disruption to the class environment or interferes with the rights of others or presents a threat to the health and safety of our instructors, other students, employees, and visitors, violates other policies or is otherwise inappropriate is prohibited. Students are expected to maintain appropriate behavior that allows instructors and staff to perform their professional duties effectively and without disruption.
We reserve the right at any time if, in the opinion of the instructor, discover a student behaving in a belligerent manner, fails to follow the safety rules, commits an unsafe act with a firearm, or exhibits behavior that negatively reflects the positive image of our company, the instructor, gun owners or any other individual or business, the student will be immediately removed from the course entirely to secure the safety and respect of all other individuals.
This includes, but not limited to individuals under the influence of prescription medication, illegal drugs, alcohol or any substance that could hinder or impede an individual to effectively and safely handle a firearm as well as students who fail to comply with the instructor’s instructions, participation, safety, or other applicable policies may be told to leave the course and will not be eligible to receive a refund.
Risk Of Injury
All students must understand that attending any of our courses carries a significant risk of injury. Courses involving firearms, impact devices, and defensive tools all carry an enhanced risk of injury which could include death.
All students are required to sign a "Liability Waiver" prior to the beginning of any course which students handle a firearm. Students attending a course who are under 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian or designated adult in charge of the youth group. We are not responsible for minors while in the course and should it become necessary for an instructor to remove a minor from the course, a parent, guardian or designated adult must be available. Minors cannot legally sign our "Liability Waiver", so a parent or guardian must have signed the document prior to the beginning of the course.
Students who reasonably believe that they may be, allergic or acutely at risk of physical harm, due to any known or suspected medical condition should not attempt to take that course. Due to the inherent risk of injury, women who are pregnant are restricted from attending any course listed below.
Live Fire Training:
This training ALWAYS poses a substantial risk of injury including substantial bodily injury, serious bodily injury or death. Instructors are very strict about following all safety rules at all times.
Dynamic defensive activities that may bend, twist or pin the body in ways that may induce temporary pain or severe discomfort.
OC (Pepper) Spray Training:
Students participating in courses involving defensive spray devices understand that they will be exposed to the chemicals of the spray devices.
Force on Force Training:
Students may use plastic bb’s or Simmunition® and will be subjected to situations in which pain may be felt by the student which may result in bruising, welts, and lacerations as a result of the dynamic nature of the training.
Costs | Deposits | Balances
• "Cost" refers to the total fee required to attend a certain course. Most courses require payment in full at the time of registration. Payments are only accepted at a course if stated in the registration options.
• “Deposit” refers to the fee paid to secure a seat in certain courses. We may require students to register and pay a deposit for specific courses in order to commit resources, course outlines, classroom locations, range reservations and other costs which are incurred with each scheduled course and instructors must be paid for their time no matter what.
• “Balance” refers to the amount of money still owed, after the deposit, and must be paid to complete the total cost of a course. If a student arrives at the course and cannot pay the balance, the student will not be allowed to attend the course and will not be eligible for a refund of their deposit.
Usually, course prices include the cost of the venue, course material, range fees, and targets.
Course fees DO NOT include the cost of eye and ear protection, ammunition, cleaning supplies, food, drinks or any other items. If you do not have the required items as stated in the course requirements you will not be able to attend the course. We do not provide, sell or rent any firearms, duty gear or ammunition.
Prices are based on instructors costs and other factors that may change depending on the venue, location, materials, etc. Each course has its unique requirements and fees which is why you may see the same course listed at different prices.
When you register for a course you may be required to provide a payment. Please note that making payments through this website does so without divulging your credit/debit card information to us. FOR SECURITY PURPOSES NO CREDIT CARD DATA IS STORED ON THIS SITE
Occasionally the instructor conducting the course may have the capability to accept credit/debit card payments in the classroom, please inquire before the course if the instructor will have this capability.
Gift Certificates | Gift Cards
Valid only for the individual and course listed on the certificate and expires one year from the date issued.
Cannot be transferred to another person, not redeemable for cash, not eligible for refunds, no exchanges if lost or stolen and void if altered from the original condition in any way.
Students must contact us to save a seat in any course. We may not be able to allow walk-ins.
Students must provide the gift certificate upon arrival to the instructor at the beginning of the course. If the student does not provide the gift certificate, the student will be required to pay in full for the course or they will not be allowed to attend the course.
Are available for purchase and can be used to attend any course.
Valid for any course.
Must be used to pay for the course online. We may not be able to allow walk-ins.
Instructors work diligently to provide and maintain high-value services in order to provide each student with personal attention and support. In order to maintain a high standard of personal service and safety, we may adjust staffing levels in accordance with course enrollment.
A course may require a minimum number of students due to our costs of training material and to meet certain requirements. If the course does not have the minimum number of students these requirements may not be accomplished.
Courses may also have a maximum number of students for safety reasons. This means that we do not have space for everyone that may want to attend the scheduled course. The only way we can know that a course is full is when the specified number of students have registered and paid the required fees. Once a class is full, we have to turn away others and waiting lists are sometimes established.
We ask that all students make every attempt possible to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the course. This ensures that the course is able to start on time without any delays. Students who arrive late, even after making a good faith effort to contact the training staff will not be permitted to participate in the course and will be considered "Late Arrival" students.
Students who fail to show up for a scheduled course are referred to as a "No Show" and considered a cancellation by the student.
Everyone's time is very valuable. "late arrivals" and "no-shows" have a negative impact on everyone involved
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Inclement Weather Cancellations
Unless otherwise notified, all students should understand that courses will occur regardless of weather conditions. There is so much that goes into the planning, scheduling of courses, venues, instructors and other resources that we will very rarely cancel a class due to weather conditions such as temperature, wind, rain or snow unless the instructor feels the situation is unsafe for students. If the course has not been formally canceled by the instructor, students who do not attend the scheduled course will be considered a “no show”.
If Cancellation Is Made By The Instructor, At Any Time
Refund Allowed: 100% of Deposit (if applicable) & 100% of Paid Course Fees
Rescheduling: Student May Choose Not To Recieve A Refund And Use 100% Credit Towards A Future Scheduled Course *
In the event that an instructor is forced to reschedule or cancel a course due to an insufficient minimum number of students, we will notify students at least 48 hours prior to the course. Courses may be canceled the day of the course due to an extreme personal emergency or dangerous conditions. If a course is canceled for any reason, the instructor will make every effort to inform students in a timely manner based on information provided during the registration process and may be made by phone, text and/or email to notify students about the cancellation or rescheduling of the course.
If a student does not receive a call, voicemail, text or email due to not answering their phone, low volume, checking text messages, voice mails or emails due to any type of spam filter or any other phone or computer problem on the part of the student or if accurate information was not provided during registration for a course including but not limited to name, address, phone numbers and/or email address and the instructor is unable to contact the student, it is not the responsibility of the instructor.
The instructor will try to reschedule students for other courses if they are not already full. These students will be given first priority in scheduling and access to future courses when possible, and the instructor will make every effort to accommodate those students.
If Cancellation Is Made By The Student, Prior To 48 hours (2 days) From The Course Date
Refund Allowed: 100% of Deposit (if applicable) & 100% of Paid Course Fees
Rescheduling: Student May Choose Not To Recieve A Refund And Use 100% Credit Towards A Future Scheduled Course *
If Cancellation Is Made By The Student, Less Than 48 hours (2 days) From The Course Date
Refund Allowed: 50% of Deposit (if applicable) & 50% of Paid Course Fees
Rescheduling: Student May Choose Not To Recieve A Refund And Use 50% Credit Towards A Future Scheduled Course *
If Cancellation Is Made By The Student, Less Than 24 hours (1 day) From The Course Date
Refund Allowed: 0% of Deposit (if applicable) & 0% of Paid Course Fees
Rescheduling: If Student Chooses To Attend A Future Course, Student Must Pay 100% Of Course Fees
* Within one (1) year, after which time no credit will be given.
All requests for refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling must be emailed to email@example.com
Requests must include:
1. The student’s full name and address as used during registration for the course, and;
2. The purchaser's full name, if different from the student registered for the course.
We DO NOT accept requests by phone, text, or any other method of communication.
Refund requests for special or extraordinary circumstances are reviewed on a case by case basis. We reserve the right to refuse refunds or in special cases authorize a full or partial refund. Examples of circumstances where a full or partial refund may be authorized are for military personnel or other severe or debilitating illness or injury prior to the date of the course.
Refunds, if applicable, are issued the same way they were received.
If payment was made at the course and a refund is necessary, eligible refunds will be made by cash at that time.
Credit/Debit Card: No Cash Refunds On Card Payments
It takes 2-7 business days to process a refund through our payment processing company. Once the refund is initiated, processed and sent to the purchasers issuing bank, it can take another 2-7 business days (depending on the bank’s processing speeds) for the refund to post to the purchaser's account. In total it could take at least 9-14 business days to receive a refund. Eligible refunds will be returned to the original card used to make the purchase.
If we are somehow unable to process a card refund we offer refund by the following, minus the fee which was initially taken by our payment processing company, and may take additional time to process.
• Money Order which is sent with the purchaser's full name, to the address provided during registration. If this is necessary, we will contact the purchaser or registered student prior to issuing a Money Order.
• PayPal which is an online payment and money transfer system.
• Venmo which is a money transfer service of PayPal, Inc.
• Cash App which is a money transfer service of Square, Inc.
Reasons A Student WILL NOT Be Issued A Refund
• Students who fail to pay the balance, when applicable, at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled course.
• Students who are considered a "late arrivals" or "no-show" to the scheduled course.
• Students failure to ensure they meet ALL requirements before arriving at a course.
• Students failure to ensure they have ALL the required equipment or items.
• Students who fail to attend ALL required training dates.
• Students who fail the requirements or an examination required to complete a course.
• Students removed or not allowed to continue in a course due to safety concerns.
• Services already provided or courses that a student has already attended.
Course Tests and Passing Grades
Students must possess the correct attitude, knowledge, and skills necessary for the course they are attending. Some courses may have prerequisites that must have been completed or have in order to attend that specific course.
All courses are performance based. A student does not pay to automatically complete a course. A student pays to have the opportunity to complete the course. There is no guarantee that a student will receive a certificate or instructor signature, merely as a result of having paid for or attending any course.
Specific courses require students to pass a written test, live fire test or performance evaluation to complete the courses. If a student fails to pass any test, as required, they will not be permitted to receive any document showing completion of the course.
Students may, at the discretion of the instructor, and if time is available, have the opportunity to retake a test. Depending on the course, a processing fee of $50.00 may be required before an additional attempt to take a retest.

Our commitment and approach to student confidentiality distinguish us as a leader in firearm training and we fully anticipate to be held to those expectations. In fact, we commit to exceed them. We operate in full compliance and cooperation with all local, county, state and federal laws. We are not affiliated with any County, Local, State or Federal Law Enforcement Agency.
We promise that we will not sell, trade or give your personal information to anyone except as required by law or by your prior expressed written authorization.
Using this site, registering for and making any payment for any course implies that you fully understand and accept this policy and all terms outlined above. We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy at our discretion for extreme circumstances.
