Concealed Carry Class
Can’t make it to one of our scheduled concealed carry classes?
Are you having a get-together, barbecue, birthday party, work party, reunion, or other group function?
We can travel to you and give you Utah’s BEST concealed carry class in your home, business, or other location and have all of your family, friends, and/or co-workers take the class at the same time.
Duration: 4-5 Hours
Prerequisite: Must be at least 17 years old and meet the minimum requirements to obtain the Utah concealed firearm permit. If a student does not have a Utah driver’s license or ID see Eligibility > Non-Residents by clicking the link above
Participants: No Max Students
Course Of Fire: N/A
Required Items: Students must bring their non-expired driver’s license or ID card. If you were born outside the United States, bring proof of United States legal residency such as a Naturalization Number, Born Abroad Birth Certificate (born on a US military base), valid U.S. Passport, or permanent resident card.

Requirements
All private concealed carry classes must be scheduled at least two (2) weeks in advance to ensure all appropriate fees are paid, and any common issues are resolved before the class.
Minimum Number Of Students
We require a minimum of 10 students for all private classes in Salt Lake County and Utah County. If you do not have the minimum number of students, a minimum fee of $400.00 will apply.

Host Cost & Responsibilities
The host, or person scheduling the private concealed carry course, is required to:
- Pay a $75.00 nonrefundable deposit. This fee covers travel, fuel, equipment setup, and removal for the class. The deposit does not apply to any other costs associated with the class.
- Pay the remaining balance on the invoice no later than 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled class, or it may be canceled.
- Obtain an acceptable location for the class. See more information about the location requirements below.
- Ensure that ALL students know and understand the class requirements:
- Be at least 17 years old.
- Meet the minimum requirements to obtain a Utah concealed firearm permit.
- Have a valid driver’s license or ID card.
- Must arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes before the class starts. Individuals who are late will NOT be able to join the class.
- The class WILL last approximately 5 hours.
- The class cost DOES NOT include the Utah concealed firearm permit application fee. Utah residents $52.00 | Non-residents $87.00
- Students do not need to have or bring a firearm to this class.
- No refund will be provided for any student who fails to understand or claims they “didn’t know” these requirements.
Location Requirements
The Host is responsible for paying all costs associated with the location, if applicable, and the instructor may contact the location to confirm that all requirements can be met without issue. If the Host cannot obtain a location for the class, we may be able to find and schedule a location, such as the Lee Kay Public Shooting Range in Salt Lake City, which has seating for up to 60 students, depending on availability.
- Enough space and seating for all students

- 1. Access to a 46-inch (or larger) TV with HDMI input, space to put a laptop, and access to one electrical outlet

2. Space to set up a table, projector, projector screen, and access to one electrical outlet - SAFETY SPACE:
There must be enough space with a minimum of eight (8) feet in front of the class between the students and instructor to safely demonstrate the handling of firearms - Fingerprints, Passport Pictures, and Copies of Documents:
Additional space is required to provide these services at no additional cost.
1. Passport Pictures – must have good lighting and a white wall or space to set up an 8′ x 4′ backdrop and access to one additional electrical outlet
2. Fingerprints/Copy of Documents – There must be space to set up a table behind the student’s seating area and access to one additional electrical outlet. Students must be able to see the instructor while their fingerprints are being completed.
Important
If, upon the instructor’s arrival at the location, there is not enough space available or insufficient access to necessary utilities, including power to provide fingerprints, passport photos, and/or copies of documents, it is not the instructor’s fault or responsibility to remedy. If the instructor cannot provide certain services, he/she may be able to make them available at another time with no additional cost to the student. The student will then be responsible for scheduling an appointment through our website or obtaining the service(s) by other means. If the student chooses to get the offered service(s) through a different means, they will NOT receive any refund.
Student Costs
It is up to the host to collect payment from the students, unless Utah FAST has provided the host with a written agreement for another payment collection method.

Optional Class Addon
Utah FAST also provided students with the means to obtain the Arizona nonresident concealed weapons permit. This permit allows an individual who is at least 21 years old to carry a concealed handgun in New Mexico. An additional $10.00 per student will be required for the two fingerprint cards we provide.
